United Through Reading
United Through Reading is a non-profit organization that connects deployed military parents to their children by offering parents the opportunity to be video-recorded while reading books to their children. This charity has proven to decrease children's anxiety and service members' stress during times of deployment.
National Military Family Association
The National Military Family Association provides detailed information and links to external resources about various topics that may be beneficial to veteran parents. Additionally, the organization provides educational scholarships for military spouses and information about exciting opportunities for military children.
Parenting for Service Members and Veterans
The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs provides a training module for service member and veteran parents as they prepare themselves for positive interactions with their child when they reintegrate into family life. The training shares stories of others with similar experiences and gives practical advice on how to communicate and relate to their children after a time lapse.

Sesame Street for Military Families
Sesame Street for Military Families' workshops were designed to support families and particularly children as they readjust to their parent's deployment or homecoming. They cover a wide array of topics and present material in a child-friendly manner that is easily understood by children.
Tutor.com
Tutor.com offers a tutoring program which is available at no-cost for service members and eligible dependents. Funded by the Department of Defense, the program connects students with personalized help in 40 school subjects, at almost any time during the day.
